Before you start

Wi-Fi Assist keeps you connected to the Internet with mobile data when you have a poor Wi-Fi connection, which can lead to increased use of mobile data. Wi-Fi Assist is On by default and this guide will show you how to turn it off and save data. NOTICE: SCREEN IMAGES MAY DIFFER FROM YOUR ACTUAL DEVICE.

Select Settings

Select Mobile Data

Scroll down and set Wi-Fi Assist to Off

Mobile data will no longer be used when your Wi-Fi connection is poor.
