Use tablet as modem - Samsung Galaxy NotePRO 12.2 4G

Before you start

If you are not connected to a Wi-Fi or local network and want to use the Internet on your computer or any other Wi-Fi compatible device, you can use your tablet as a modem. This guide shows with a few easy steps how to establish an Internet connection between your tablet and your preferred device.

Select Settings

Select Connections and Tethering and portable hotspot

Select Portable Wi-Fi hotspot

Select the Configure button

Enter a password of at least 8 characters and select Save

Turn Portable Wi-Fi hotspot on

Select OK

Your tablet is now set up for use as a modem

Select your tablet from the list of Wi-Fi networks on your computer or any other Wi-Fi compatible device and enter your password. To turn off your Hotspot, simply set Portable Wi-Fi hotspot to off.
