Extend battery life - Samsung Galaxy S5 Active

Before you start

This guide will show you how to turn off some features on your phone to extend the battery time. Use the guide as a guideline for extending the battery life in situations when in need and the battery is low. Make sure you read all the text in the different steps when turning a service off and remember that it is easily turned on again. If you would like to enable Ultra power saving mode, jump to step 8.

Select Apps

Select Settings

Scroll to and select Power saving

Select Power saving mode

Turn on Power saving mode

Enabling Power saving mode will make the phone slightly more slow and the screen less bright. Note: This action will disable your Internet connection and turn off Internet based services when the screen is off.

To enable Ultra power saving mode, return to the Power saving menu

Select Ultra power saving mode

Turn on Ultra power saving mode

Check the checkbox and select OK

Note: This action will disable your Internet connection and turn off Internet based services when the screen is off.

Select ENABLE

To turn off Ultra power saving mode, select the Menu button and select Disable ultra power saving mode
